China's first large domestic cruise ship completed a number of important tests

news-details

Recently, through the joint efforts and cooperation of multiple departments, China's first domestic large-scale cruise ship built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, successfully completed a number of important tests to provide safety guarantee for the trial voyage.

Watertight door/semi-watertight door wharf mooring test:

Watertight door/semi-watertight door is a crucial part of ship design. Its main function is to ensure the safe navigation of the ship and prevent the hull from being unstable or sinking due to water leakage accidents.

Large cruise ships are equipped with 31 watertight doors and 12 semi-watertight doors, which are distributed on the four decks of A, B, C and 0. The operation and control of them mainly include 6 emergency control stations, wheelhouse and SMCS (Safety Management Control Center) ) remote control panel, its control logic is completely different from other ship types, and its complexity is unprecedented. The linked systems involve carbon dioxide, fire alarm, water ingress alarm, valve remote control, etc.

The driver's cab and SMCS (Safety Management Control Center) are equipped with remote single-door opening and closing functions, and are equipped with special functions such as one-button door closing function, laser anti-pinch function, and logic control with each system in automatic mode. In the event of an accident, the ship and personal safety can be ensured in a timely and effective manner.

At present, the closing and inspection of the remote single-door opening and closing function, one-button door closing function and all other security functions have been completed, adding a key guarantee for the scheduled launch of the next sea trial work.

Successful acceptance! Dead ship test and power loss test:

The dead ship test and power loss test were carried out successively. The test results were unanimously approved by the inspectors and successfully accepted. Both tests are ship inspection specification items, and they are the most typical tests for the function of ships in emergency situations. Among them, the key indicators of the dead ship test require the main engine to be restored to the usable state within 30 minutes (the main generator has no energy to start the state); and the key indicators of the power failure test require the power grid to be restored within 45 seconds. Both tests have been completed to test the automatic start and closing function of the emergency generator.

At present, the PMS configuration and central control automation control functions of the large-scale cruise power grid have been debugged; the key branch equipment is available for power-on; the 32 UPS (uninterruptible power supply) of the whole ship have been debugged to meet the requirements of the dead ship and power failure test conditions. All project members and various departments cooperated closely, and the two ship protection projects were successfully carried out.

The dead ship and power failure test involves the operation of the whole ship's equipment, especially the rapid recovery function of the main propeller, which can ensure the safety of the ship's navigation at sea. The smooth acceptance of the test also verified that the large cruise ship meets the requirements of ship inspection regulations, and can respond quickly to achieve power and energy recovery in case of emergencies at the pier, escorting the next sailing test.
